Sundays are days for God. What we enjoy is as important as what we do. So here are movies recommended by you. Some are family-friendly. Some will need to wait until after the littles are in bed.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY (but make sure you preview, as many Catholic movies have violence because, you know, the Romans and martyrdom and such). I put rating next to it when I could. The older the movie, the safer is likely is for a younger audience. If I have already watched it with my kids, it’ll have a “w/K” next to it

Romero (1989) is also well done (but a tough one!)
Thank you! I’m surprised I forgot about Padre Pio – that was a great one!
– Bells of St Marys (1945)
– Going on My (1944)
There’s one about St. Therese from 2004 called “Therese” Ordinary Girl, Extraordinary Soul” starting Lindsay Younce. Rated PG because they do show Therese’s sufferings. Very excellent movie!
Thank you! I see this is on Formed. I love that resource.
The Greatest Miracle (2011), I watched this on DVD but it is also available on Youtube (Vision Video) channel. This is a very good animated movie so kids can watch this one.
Thanks Carmelita! I’ll look into that one!
